Bio-security Coordination Field Hearing

The U.S. Senate Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee’s Subcommittee on Research, Nutrition, and General Legislation will hold a field hearing on January 9, 2006, at 1:15 p.m. EST in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This hearing will be held so that the representatives of national and state governments, academe, and business associated with agriculture may assess their ability to coordinate research and develop an integrated strategy to protect the industry from the accidental or deliberate introduction of pathogens or other biological agents (Bio-security).
